Trinity Special Needs - Taster Session

During half term 1882 Judo Academy provided a free taster session to Trinity Special Needs School from Barking and Dagenham. This was a fantastic session that was enjoyed by all. Assisting coach Bill Taylor was Nicky and Richard Jackson from Ford Judo Club. This was the first Special Needs class the Academy has provided but Luke Hammett, the groups supervisor had this to say about the session "The session that you delivered in half term was fantastic and the students enjoyed the morning a lot. The range of students you catered for was beyond belief and all the students kept talking about the session for days on end. They would love to start any club that you provide because the session that you and your team provided was pure quality". A total of 19 students took part who's ability ranged from:-SLD- severe learning difficulty, MLD-mild learning difficulty, PI- physical impairment, VI-visual impairment, Down Syndrome.

You can see from the pictures, everyone engaged and had fun. Bill Taylor coach stated "I was not too sure as to what I could and could not deliver in this session as it was the first Special Needs class I have been involved in but I knew within minutes that I need not have worried as each pupil concentrated and engaged in everything we showed. To see the enjoyment on all of the kids faces was pure magic, a tonic for anyone. And as you can see by the pictures their achievements were amazing"
